Indian companies come to the rescue of Russian military-industrial complex
The Ukrainian National Agency for the Prevention of Corruption has listed the Indian company CK Birla Group as an international sponsor of the war.

The reason was that CK Birla Group and its subsidiary National Engineering Industries Limited (NEI) (brand name NBC Bearings) help the Russian military industrial complex to replace critical European and American parts for military equipment, namely bearings.
Bearings are a critical part of many types of equipment: tanks, other armored and tracked vehicles, and aircraft. In addition, bearings are necessary for the functioning of the railroad, the main way of Russian military supplies and the entire Russian logistics in general,” the report says.
It is noted that last year European and American manufacturers of bearings left the Russian market, after which Russia had problems in the production of tanks and shipbuilding.
One of the companies that decided to help the Russian military-industrial complex in building and rebuilding the Russian invasion army was CK Birla Group and its bearing brand NBC Bearings. According to customs data, during the period from April 2022 to March 2023, the share of NBC Bearings in the imports of bearings from India to Russia was 38.4%, worth $12.3 million,” the NAPK points out.
The Indian company was approached by the head of the Ukrainian agency Alexander Novikov.
Today we put one of the manufacturers and suppliers of bearings for Russian military equipment, the CK Birla Group Corporation, on the list of international sponsors of war. We call on this company and other manufacturers of dual-use goods to refuse to supply products to the terrorist state of Russia,” Novikov stipulated.
In addition, it is pointed out that another CK Birla Group subsidiary, cement manufacturer Ultratech, has already been in the sanctions news, buying coal in Russia for yuan to circumvent dollar sanctions.
All of these facts confirm the company’s support and sponsorship of Russian terrorism,” the company concludes.
