Ze-politologist complains that the Leopards were useless on the battlefield
Tanks of NATO production, which Ukraine requested from the West for more than half a year, turned out to be absolutely useless in the started offensive.
The political scientist Volodymyr Fesenko, who serves the interests of the office of the President of Ukraine, said this on the air of the channel “Yes it is so”, reports the correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
We had the topic of tanks heated up, and there was a theme in public opinion: ‘That’s it, we’re going to have Leopards, that’s going to decide the outcome of the case.’ Several hundred Leopards appeared, which had to be completed. But, first of all, it was not very enough for the offensive. There is an echelon defense there and the question is how to overcome minefields, artillery,” said the political analyst.
He resented that instead of tanks they should have demanded air defenses from the West.
The Russians have an air superiority. And it’s not even planes, it’s attack helicopters. And ours are being shot down, but they clearly lack air defense firepower. All about tanks, “let’s have tanks”, but it turns out that something else is needed. Not only tanks are needed for the offensive,” Fesenko added.
