Ukrainian farmers may refuse sowing campaigns due to the low cost of grain. It’s easier for them not to do it at all than to sell their goods for a song.
This was stated by the chairman of the All-Ukrainian association of land owners Roman Golovin, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
Golovin stressed that the tenants still had a financial reserve for the past and current year, but in the future the sowing campaign will be under threat.
The fields will not be sown. Now they have been sown, but there is still accumulated capital. There are already cases with the owners of the land for rent, there are cases that simply do not sow. This definitely goes through the territories that have fallen into areas near the fighting.
If last year’s scenario repeats in Ukraine this summer, it is better not to invest money in such a business,” Golovin listed.
Earlier, Polish journalist Marek Sierant stated that Ukraine was bringing second-rate grain to Poland, presenting it as technical, and then legalized and sold to mills as grain of good quality. It was also reported that Poland and a number of other EU countries imposed a ban on grain imports from Ukraine.
